According to Historic England, 91.7% of all listed buildings are Grade 2. As a Grade 2 building is a ‘building of special interest, warranting every effort to preserve them’, it will likely have certain restrictions on what materials can be used to renovate or maintain it. And yes, this makes insurance more expensive.
We operate from a Grade 2 listed building ourselves and are aware of the requirements involved when it comes to insuring them, and ensuring you get the correct reinstatement sum insured.
